1-mile Run (7:30)
800m Run (3:00)
The times are estimates but I’m pretty good at guessing my pace…I suppose that’s one plus of having been a Cardio Queen for a decade and a half. This is actually a pretty decent prep for the APFT since it includes running, push-ups, and sit-ups. I get super competitive around APFT time, and that’s a tie between my being in the camp that really thinks officers should be the role models for the rest of the unit, and because I’m just superficial like that 😉
We’ll be traveling tomorrow, so it wasn’t an “official” Turkey-Day Tabata, but my legs were Jell-O by the end and my face was a healthy (and sexy!) beet-red). I’ll have to see if I can get some recruits for a Black Friday workout at my parents’ place. At the very least, I’m bringing our favorite yoga DVD–Rodney Yee’s Ultimate Power Yoga.
A lot of people advocate the importance of keeping active while on vacation, and I may be an outlier but I really do believe in treating vacations like what they should be–a vacation. If I’ve got the time and desire to work out, cool…if not, no big deal. We’ll only be gone for 4 days, for goodness sake!
The Man just took The Husky down to the kennel and I’ve been enjoying some quality Day Drinking…I had to make an emergency run to pick up 2 jumbo bottles of wine but it was worth it–it’s been a long week!
We’re just going to have a quiet night in…The Man is picking up dinner and I’m watching a marathon of Diners, Drive-in’s, and Dives (I love the Food Network!).
Have a great night!
